V4 CONCERTS

During the 43.edition of the International Festival of Contemporary Music 'Poznan Musical Spring' (21-25 March 2014) there are planned three concerts of the artists from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. Prague Modern is one of the most interesting ensembles of contemporary music in Czech. Young instrumentalists performed at the prestigious festivals of contemporary music, they play solo music and chamber compositions. The ensemble will perform the pieces by Czech composers (Miroslav Srnka, Frantisek Chaloupka, David Danel, Ondřej Adámek), by Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska from Poland and by one of the greatest composers of XX century – Luigi Nono. From Hungary it is planned to invite the THReNSeMBLe – one of the most exciting ensembles of the new music in Europe, Balázs Horváth is conductor and artistic director of the Ensemble. THReNSeMBLe will come to Poznań as musicians and conductor and they will perform works by Hungarian composers – László Tihanyi, Péter Tornyai, Marcell Dargay, Balázs Horváth, works by Pierre Boulez, Franaco Donatoni and a piece by Polish composer. Peter Katina from Slovakia is a great accordionist specialized in the area of contemporary music. He will perform in Poznań compositions by Slovak composers L’ubica Čekovská and Iris Szeghy, by Polish composer Maciej Jabłoński and works by Salvatore Sciarrino and Toshio Hosokawa. TWOgether Duo (Magdalena Bojanowicz-cello, Maciej Frąckiewicz-accordion) is a great music group from Poland. They will play a few contemporary piece of young Polish composers - Piotr Tabakiernik, Michał Ossowski, Rafał Janiak and by experienced creator - Hanna Kulenty. The concert will present also compositions by German composer Matthias Pintscher and Yuji Takahashi (famous Japanese composer, performer and pianist).

Peter Katina from Slovakia is a great accordionist specialized in the area of contemporary music. He will perform in Poznań compositions by Slovak composers L’ubica Čekovská and Iris Szeghy, by Polish composer Maciej Jabłoński and works by Salvatore Sciarrino, Magnus Lindberg and Toshio Hosokawa.

They will play a few contemporary piece of young Polish composers-Piotr Tabakiernik, Michał Ossowski, Rafał Janiak and by experienced creator-Hanna Kulenty. The concert will present also compositions by German composer Matthias Pintscher and Jukka Tiensuu.
